Leopard Boots

What a year it has been! I've gone through many accomplishments to get to my goal. I've over came and tried new things. Good Bye 2014! I cannot wait for what 2015 awaits me! That being said, here is my last post for the year.

I wore an all black and camel ensemble--black turtle neck with my distressed black jeans (favorite jeans of all time--madewell skinny jeans: here).  I got these cool leopard booties from Zara ages ago. It's not an overbearing pattern and it brings a splash to the outfit. Its always important to be daring with your style. Even if you take it slow with something so little as shoes.
Happy New Year!

the white coat

When winter comes, the coats come out. I've totally forgot about this white coat I had stuffed deep in my closet. I decided to opt for my favorite nude heels and this beautiful white coat.  This white coat brought some life to an ordinary outfit. White is such a crisp, clean, and fresh.  White can work anytime and anywhere.

I went out to lunch with a few friends, but before we grabbed lunch we took a stroll in this beautiful hidden gem.  There is always these secret places around you that is always over looked. If you really look hard enough you'll find these incredible places. Trust me it'll worth while!

Out Of the Archives: THE JOURNEY OF A DRESS

I remembered that I had taken some photos of Diane Von Furstenberg's Journey of a Dress. It was her 40th year anniversary of celebration of being a women and the wrap dress! I loved the selection of wrap dresses she's cultivated throughout her years in the fashion industry.

Falling Into Fall

As fall is soon approaching, layering can be essential. You really just need to know how to feel confident and comfortable with what you're wearing. Sometimes with chunky knits, you can look larger than you already are.  However, it goes back to how you rock it with confidence.  To be honest, I was never too confident with wearing sweaters during the colder seasons.

Here I took an old lace t-shirt and threw a knit over it. It gives me enough warmth for the colder days. These Citizen of Humanity Alvedon jeans are perfect. They fit like a glove! The material of the jeans makes life worth living. I literally live in those jeans. I got the boots from Anthropologie a couple years back. Plus, I layered a few simple and dainty necklaces for this outfit!

Hope you all enjoy your Thanksgiving! I'll be spending it with family. What are your plans for the holiday?

Leather Goods

I am totally in love with leather jacket. This one is so BAD A$$! I especially love the biker vibe. It makes any outfit edgier.

It's got the heart struck emoji face written all over it. I want to wear it all the time. Even with some New Balance 420's for a casual outing.

Have a great weekend,

Ice Cream Conversation

California is still keeping us all warm.  I opted for a quick pick me up this past weekend. We went to our favorite Ice Cream parlor, Farrells!  I love that our local ice cream parlor has a take out window. So, we stopped by the window to get some ice cream and enjoy the weather!

I always love to keep my outfits simple. Thats why you can never go wrong with the basics.  You can always dress up anything with your basic gray top and black jeans. So, I added a denim vest to my ensemble! I think any type of vest, cardigan, or blazer can vamp up your basic outfit, even for a day trip to get some ice cream!

Good News..I found my favorite necklace. I've been looking for this necklace for months.  It's an embedded 'D' with a feather. I added these together because it brings two things I love together.  The feather symbolizes freedom and to follow my dreams. Its always a good reminder to see when I look down to my necklace.  I got my initial necklace at Max&Chloe. Check it out!

I believe...

I believe Sundays are meant for something adventurous and new.  Plus, it's always a good way to end and start a week.  I ended up at a beach. It was so beautiful and secluded. All I really wanted to do was sit and take it all in.  California can really be beautiful all year around.

I knew my outfit wasn't conventional for the beach, but I had the urge to wear leather leggings (exact pair). It can always bring some spice to any outfit when you're really not in the mood for jeans. Let me tell you from now, strip shirts are my fav go to piece! It really works with everything. Plus, it's such an easy piece to dress up or dress down. I think thats why I love it so much. My bag is Marc by Marc Jacobs.

I hope you all have a great start to your weekend xx!

Burnt Red

It's pumpkin patch time! It is always pleasant to go and check out the things going within specific pumpkin patches.  This one close to my house had sunflowers, food trucks, pumpkins, and some good music! I went straight to the sunflower's to take an impromptu photoshoot. Can you blame me? Who doesn't love sunflowers?

I am wearing a burnt red shirt from Madewell and paired it with my Topshop jeans. It is still mildly warm in California.  The weather is not so bad, but I am yearning for some cold weather right about now.  I can't wait for sweater and coat season to begin! Until then, I won't complain about the our current weather situation.

Together Again

It's always good to catch up with a friend that you haven't seen in awhile.  I must say she is one of my favorite persons in the world.  Nonetheless, friendship is such an amazing thing.  Im glad to have a few good friends who mean the world to me, than a larger group of friends.  Im so thankful for the friends that have came and have stayed in my life than anything because you know they're real.  She is a great friend.

We caught up over some boba and potatoes chip cookies.  Weird combo, i know! But the salty and sweetness mixture works so good! I love finding new places in SoCal that strays from the norm.  Two things that I love, exploring and food.

Cookies in the making..

It's always a good time to bake some chocolate chip cookies, but these aren't any normal chocolate chip cookies.  They're brown butter chocolate chip cookies! Yes, you heard it right brown butter chocolate chip cookies.  The key factor to this makes these cookies outrageously good! The infused brown butter makes the difference let me tell you that! I got this recipe from Joy the Baker's website. I love going to her website to try new different desserts.  She actually just released her new cookbook. I need to get my hands on that SOON!
I paired my cookies with some almond milk and just caught up on a few things during this late night baking session.  It is always pleasant to stay in on a Saturday night to bake and catch up on things.  If any of you have a chance to make these cookies. Please do! You will not regret it!

Until Next Time..

Mansur

I've been eyeing on this amazing bag for months now.  As anyone who has been trying to get their hands on this bucket bag, you all know that it is HARD! All I can recommend is to put your name on any and every wait list.  I was fortunate to purchase the mini bucket bag by Mansur Gavriel in flamma. Bucket bags are everywhere now and it perfect to vamp up an outfit. Here i chose to keep it simple with the outfit and wore some TopShop jeans with a Madewell white tunic.  The shoes I chose to wear were these Franco Sarto opened toe heel.

REBEL

Yesterday was another great excuse to dress up! Anyone who celebrated Eid along with the millions of Muslims around the world,  I hope you all had a great and joyous Eid! As per usual, the morning started with going to the mosque to pray and eventually led to dinner at my uncles later in the evening.  My favorite part of Eid is going to pray in the early morning and to see my family.  What is your favorite part of the holiday?

I took a few pictures before everyone came to dinner.  I wore a full ensamble from Zara. Although fall has not hit California, yet.  I decided to go for an autumn/winter themed outfit.  I wore a black turtleneck sweater with a nude pencil skirt.  I paired that with my favorite nude pumps by Enzo Angiolini.  I went for a simplistic look for my makeup.  I defined my eyebrows and wore Rebel by Mac on my lips.

Searching For Balboa

I had decided to take my sister down to San Diego one weekend.  Not familiar with the area at all, we just drove down South I-5.  We eventually made our way to Balboa Park in San Diego.  The area in itself is a sight to see.  It is so beautiful but the atmosphere is not comparable to Los Angeles.  It is just remarkable to be able to go travel to different parts of California and feel like you're in a different part of the world.
